Blueberry Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 4 c. blueberries, fresh or frozen

  • 2 c. sugar

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

  • 1 c. whole milk

  • 1 c. half & half

  • 2 c. whipping cream

  • Salt

Directions

  1. Place the blueberries into a blender and puree. 

  2. Place pureed blueberries and sugar in saucepan. Warm until the sugar dissolves, stirring regularly. 

  3. Once sugar is dissolved, refrigerate the mixture until cold. 

  4. Add vanilla, salt, milk, half & half, and cream. Mix well. 

  5. Pour mixture into the ice cream maker and churn. 

  6. Once churned, freeze the ice cream in the freezer to harden if you'd like it to be more like hand dipped ice cream than soft serve.
