Ingredients
1 c. water
1/2 c. whole rolled oats
1 pinch of sea salt
Cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom, optional
Honey or maple syrup, optional
Directions
In a small pot, stir together the water, oats, and salt.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 2-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oatmeal is thick and creamy.
Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, and/or cardamom to taste, if desired.
Remove from heat and let stand for 1 minute.
Serve with honey or maple syrup, if desired.
