Ingredients
2 lbs. ground chuck
4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
4 slices pepper jack cheese
Peanut butter, chunky or creamy - whatever your preference
Mayonnaise
8 pc. bacon
4 hamburger buns
Directions
Cook your bacon by your preferred method. You can put it on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 400°. I prefer to cook bacon on the stove top in a frying pan, cooking each side for a few minutes until they're brown and then placing the bacon on a paper towel to soak up the grease.
Warm up the frying pan or grill for your burger.
In a large bowl, mix the ground chuck with the salt and pepper. Quarter the meat and flatten into round patties about 1/2" larger than your buns. Press your thumb into the center of the patty, this will help the patty to stay flat during cooking.
Place your patties on your hot grill or pan. Cook for about 4 minutes on the first side before flipping and cooking until the patties reach 140°F, about 2-4 minutes.
About 1 minute before the patties are done cooking, place the cheese slice on top. This will give the cheese enough time to get a little melty on top of the patty.
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun.
Place the burger patty on top of the mayonnaise. Spread peanut butter on top of the patty.
Once the peanut butter warms from the burger, top with bacon and the top of the bun and enjoy!
