Directions
Drain and rinse the oat groats and transfer to a blender.
Add water and salt, then pulse until the grains are coarsely ground.
Pour into a medium pot and bring to a boil over high heat, whisking frequently.
Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer while covered for 30 minutes, stirring occastionally. Simmer until the grains are soft and creamy.
Serve hot, adding any toppings of your choice.
