Strawberry Milkshake

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. fresh strawberries, more for garnish if desired

  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 3/4 - 1c. whole milk

  • 1 tbsp. malted milk powder or powdered milk, optional

  • 1 p. strawberry ice cream

Directions

  1. Remove the strawberry stems and thinly slice the strawberries. 

  2. Place in a medium bowl, sprinkle with sugar and add vanilla extract. Toss to combine. Place in the freezer for about 1 hour.

  3. Chill glasses for serving.

  4. Place the chilled strawberries in a blender with all the juice from the bowl. Add 3/4 c. of whole milk and blend until there are no big chunks. 

  5. Add milk powder if desired and blend.

  6. Remove the blender from the base and ice cream. Stir by hand at first before placing back onto the base and blending thoroughly. If it is too thick and getting stuck, add 1/4 c. of milk 

  7. Pour into chilled glasses, garnish if desired, and serve immediately.
