Tuna Pasta Casserole

Equipment:

  • measuring cup

  • measuring spoon

  • knife

  • cutting board

  • medium bowl

  • medium sacepan

  • strainer/colander

  • small frying pan

  • large bowl

  • wooden spoon

  • 2 qt. casserole dish

Ingredients

  • 3 c. egg noodles, dry

  • 1 tbsp. butter

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 ribs of celery, diced

  • 2/3 c. frozen peas, thawed

  • 5 oz. canned tuna, drained

  • 10.5 oz. condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/3 c. milk

  • 1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 tsp. parsley, dried

Topping

  • 1/2 c. panko bread crumbs

  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted

  • 1/2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 tsp. dried parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. 

  2. Combine topping ingredients in a bowl and set aside. 

  3. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. 

  4. Place butter in a small pan and heat over medium heat. Cook the onion and celery in the butter until tender. 

  5. In a large bowl, combine noodles, butter mixture, peas, soup, milk, cheese, tuna, and parsley. Mix well. 

  6. Spread the tuna mixture into your casserole dish and top with the topping. 

  7. Bake 18-20 minutes or until bubbly.
